Please read these Terms carefully before using the BAWAAL mobile application (the “App”). By accessing or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of them, you may not access the App.

1. Accounts

• BAWAAL accounts are anonymous and do not require email, phone number, or personally identifiable information (PII).
• You are responsible for safeguarding your anonymous user ID and the device that accesses the App.
• You agree not to share your anonymous user ID with any third party.

2. Anonymous nature

• We do not collect or store PII such as name, email, phone number, or address.
• Your anonymous user ID is generated randomly and stored locally on your device.
• While we design for anonymity, you are responsible for ensuring your content does not reveal your own or anyone else’s personal identity.

3. User-generated content

• You are solely responsible for posts, comments, reactions and messages you create (“User Content”).
• You warrant that your User Content does not violate any law, infringe third-party rights, or contain harmful, illegal, or offensive material.
• You grant BAWAAL a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store and display your User Content in connection with operating the App.
• BAWAAL may remove or modify User Content that violates these Terms or community guidelines.

4. Community guidelines

Prohibited: harassment, hate speech or threats; illegal activities or promotion thereof; non-consensual sharing of private information (doxxing); spam, scams or fraudulent content; intellectual-property infringement. Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or termination.

5. AI chat feature

• AI chat provides conversational support using third-party AI services.
• Chat history is stored only on your device and not on our servers; individual messages are transmitted to our AI provider to generate replies.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated responses. The AI chat is not professional advice (medical, legal, financial, etc.).
• For emergencies, contact local emergency services.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its source code, design and documentation are the exclusive property of BAWAAL and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the App without prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. BAWAAL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BAWAAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES. IN NO EVENT SHALL BAWAAL’S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless BAWAAL from claims arising out of your User Content or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through App settings, which removes your anonymous ID and associated server-side data.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BAWAAL is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. (Jurisdiction to be confirmed before public launch.)

13. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time; material revisions come with at least 30 days’ notice. Continuing to use the App after revisions become effective means you agree to be bound by them.
